Welcome to Cross Bone Outfitters! We are excited you joined us today! We are a 100% Veteran Owned and Operated outdoor outfitter with a passion for the outdoors and being on the water! Our mission is a simple one. In the outdoor world you’ll find a number of great products to choose from. Some of those products are trusted brand names who have built their reputation over the years. Some of those brand names have turned to mass production and as a result some of their quality has taken a fall. Because of that, there are many small companies which produce some truly amazing products, but it’s hard to be able to tell which ones are actually quality companies and which ones are gimmicks or truly a garage outfit. That’s where we come in.
At Cross Bone Outfitters, we only carry small company products. However, we know that some of them can be of questionable quality. So, we test, verify, and provide our Cross Bone Outfitters Seal of Approval on all the product lines we carry. When you shop with us, you know the product will hold up to the most rigid quality standards. We don’t spend our money stocking products that won’t last or won’t do what we say they’re going to do. It’s a true military style standard and it’s enforced with the same tenacity and rigor that we used when we served in the greatest military in history.
We offer you tutorial videos on how to use the products we sell. We will not offer products we don’t use on the water ourselves! That means we know the products we offer and will be able to provide you with proven methods to use them for your success! Whether you’re a seasoned tournament angler or brand new to the outdoors, we will have something to help you on the water! Come be a part of our community and start breaking barriers!

Chaz Hickcox has been fishing all his life. When he was a young boy you could probably find him barefoot in a creek near his home in California or Arizona fishing for sunfish and catfish. He caught on to bass fishing while spending time with extended family in East Kansas fishing farm ponds. His love of country took him away from bass fishing for most of his twenties while he spent multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Chaz started tournament fishing in 2009 while stationed in Virginia Beach, Va. When he transferred to California in 2012 he co-founded the West Coast Bass Cat Owner’s Invitational with Steve Molina. The West Coast Bass Cat Owner’s Invitational is now an annual event on the California Delta launching out of Russo’s Marina on Bethel Island. While in California, Chaz was deployed often and did not compete in many tournaments but he used his time there to learn how to effectively fish for over pressured bass in the tiny Southern California lakes. When he transferred to South Florida he founded the Florida Bass Cat Owner’s Event which is held annually on Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee, Florida. He used the knowledge he learned in those Southern California impoundments to great success in Florida, winning his first event there and competing in the Gator Division of the Fishing League Worldwide Bass Fishing League. He is known for having a small stature, but a much larger personality. Which was largely imparted upon him from his father Charlie Hickcox who was an Olympic Champion in swimming. Chaz has a wonderful wife Randelle and two beautiful children Serenity (10) and Ashur (7).
